The number of women who have skin cancer increases yearly. Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, is the third most common cancer in women ages 20-39.

You are at increased risk for skin cancer if you:

• Have blonde or red hair, blue or green eyes, and fair skin.
• Have a family history of skin cancer.
• Have a history of blistering sunburns in childhood.
• Have over 100 moles or any large, atypical moles.
• Have a compromised immune system due to an organ transplant, chemotherapy, or certain illnesses.
