She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in neuroscience from the University of Miami, completed advanced coursework at Harvard, and went on to earn her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her commitment to education and leadership was also evident during her dermatology residency at NSU COM Larkin Community Hospital, where she served as chief resident in her final year.
